After having a destination wedding in Scotland in 2022, Jana and Jason were ready to extend the celebration to their friends and family with a stateside wedding at SKYLIGHT.
The couple had a clear vision for their day, the guest experience was very important to them. To ensure no details were missed, Jana and Jason hired SKYLIGHT Planning to bring their day to life.
For the color scheme, Jana and Jason decided to mirror the details from their Scotland ceremony. SKYLIGHT Planner, Erin, pulled rich jewel tones from the couple’s custom-made Tartan plaid, and incorporated these into the florals, lounge areas, and tabletop decor.
The couple took advantage of SKYLIGHT’s in-house decor, and chose to incorporate our window draping, copper arch, mylar tape, and mobile walls into the design.
For additional pops of color, Jana and Jason chose to DIY the tablescape decor and floral chandelier!
During cocktail hour and throughout the reception, guests were entertained with taking photos in The Shutter Bus, and kept warm on SKYLIGHT’s outdoor patio with heaters, as well as blankets which served as one of the favors.
Prior to the couple’s reception grand entrance, Jana and Jason surprised everyone with the video of their Scotland wedding! Guests loved feeling like they got to be a part of both days.
Food and beverage was a high priority, and no guest was to leave hungry.
Jana and Jason worked with SKYLIGHT Beverage to design two signature cocktails: One called the Glencoe Gin & Tonic featuring their favorite Scottish Gin, and another called The Oban, featuring a Scottish Whiskey, and named after their sweet pup.
For dinner, House and Howell provided an elevated food menu of passed appetizers, a plated dinner, and late night snacks.
Later, Little Man Ice Cream served delicious ice cream from their unique bike display!
The dance floor was packed all night long, and everyone loved celebrating this amazing couple.
