Doing things the way they’ve always been done? Not really our style.

SKYLIGHT opened its doors in 2018 with a belief that events should feel flexible, creative, and actually fun to plan — not boxed in by food and beverage minimums, exclusive vendor lists, or limited rental windows. That mindset comes straight from our parent company, 828 Venue Management Company, founded on the idea that the events industry could use a little shaking up.

As part of 828’s national collection of thoughtfully managed venues, SKYLIGHT blends big-picture experience with a passionate, hands-on team rooted right here in Denver. You get the best of both worlds: the strength and systems of a larger company behind the scenes, and a local team on the ground who knows the city, the vendors, and how to make magic happen in this space.

We’ve come a long way since 828 hosted its first event in 2014 — and since SKYLIGHT welcomed its first guests in 2018 — but one thing hasn’t changed: we’re just as comfortable flipping an industry expectation on its head as we are stacking chairs at the end of a long night. Whatever needs to get done, we get it done.

No two days here look the same, and honestly, that’s how we like it. Creativity thrives in a little unpredictability. And when challenges pop up (because events are real life, after all), we handle them the same way we handle everything — together. We have each other’s backs, and more importantly, we have yours.

At our core, we’re always seeking to be good humans — to each other, our clients, our partners, and our community. Because beautiful spaces are great. But the people inside them? That’s what really matters. Creating unique and memorable experiences for those people is exactly why we opened our doors in the first place.
