Earth Tones And Red Rocks: A Colorado Wedding Dream

December 9, 2022

Colorado offers many potential wedding aesthetics: Indoors, outdoors, mountain, lake, the list goes on.

Erin and Sam chose to emulate their guests’ expectations by hosting their ceremony at Red Rocks Trading Post, and their reception at SKYLIGHT. Within these two locations, guests were able to experience both the beauty of one of Colorado’s geological wonders, and the comfort of our indoor venue, perfectly decorated to match the earth-tone feel of their ceremony.

The couple hired SKYLIGHT for month-of coordination service, which is perfect for clients who want to do a lot of the planning themselves, but know that they need a professional to come in and finalize the details, perfect their timeline, communicate with vendors, and of course, coordinate their day-of!

Their ceremony at Red Rocks featured SKYLIGHT’s in-house ceremony arch, set against the natural breathtaking views.

SKYLIGHT offers offsite ceremony coordination for all in-house planning clients, as well as planning services all throughout the Denver area.

To ensure that both events went off without a hitch, SKYLIGHT’s coordinator was onsite at Red Rocks setting up the ceremony, while the rest of the SKYLIGHT team and participating vendors set up the venue for their dream reception.

The color palette for both the ceremony and reception reflected the colors of Colorado’s red rocks; Rusts, greenery, dried florals and pampas grass.

Wild Provision Co hung a pampas grass chandelier over the dance floor at SKYLIGHT, and adorned the Edison bulb chandelier over the head table with luscious greenery.

The arch used for the ceremony was brought back to SKYLIGHT and repurposed as the cake table decor.

The bride DIY’d each place settings with wooden place cards and dried florals.

As guests arrived to SKYLIGHT, they were welcomed with tray passed appetizers and a spectacular grazing table provided by Love Pop.

For dinner and dessert, Love Pop provided an assortment of tacos, churros and Mexican hot chocolate brownies. Guests were also treated to a custom bar by SKYLIGHT Beverage.

After everyone danced the night away to music by Elite Entertainment, the night ended with a paper confetti grand exit — one of the most magical grand exits we’ve seen at SKYLIGHT!

A note from SKYLIGHT Planner, Erin: “Erin and Sam were one of the nicest couples to work with and some of the most appreciative and warm guests that attended the wedding!”
